...is the name of the local burger and beer joint we went out to tonight. I had this Alamo burger. On top of the party, cooked medium, was beef brisket, avocado, pickled jalapeńos quest, and tortilla strips. I thought it would be excess for its own sake, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. No ingredient overpowered another. I could taste the brisket and avocado despite the queso. And the patty held its own in the mix. I took half home. I washed it down with a dark cherry cider that was kinda meh.  Should have head a beer.  They have lots to choose from  

There were a couple of interesting cars on the lot too.

It was. We had waffle fries and sweet potato fries with them.

There’s a place in downtown Houston that makes fantastic sweet potato fries. Their burgers are just  ok, but the fries are worth it.

I’m actually not a big fan, but my wife thinks them a treat. I get them for her and eat the regular ones myself.

There’s a seafood place next door. I didn’t know if it was connected to the same owners.

We walked in there by accident. It seemed really inviting. They were fairly busy and their patio was air conditioned.
